If you are ready to join us for this intensely beautiful adventure rooted in tradition to learn from the old ways of the mountain, then welcome aboard. The regular price tickets are what go on to fund Up There The Last projects and keep the excursions viable. You will first secure your very limited place with a €500 deposit and once purchased, you are through to email communication to help with logistics, pre-trip preparations and full payment details.

If you are ready to join us for this intensely beautiful adventure rooted in tradition to learn from the old ways of the mountain, then welcome aboard! The ticket price goes directly back in to fund Up There The Last projects, as well as patronising the Youth Incentive Programme and food producers who will join us on the trip.

This deposit will secure your place for the trip. Full payment information will be sent out with preparatory welcome pack via email and must be completed via invoice before the 1st of May.

NB: Owing to shifting climate patterns, the date of the transhumance itself ultimately and brilliantly, rests with the herders. We wish to bring to light that there is an unlikely, albeit natural chance the dates of the transhumance might shift. Please opt for flexible flight booking if choosing to book early, otherwise we recommend booking ten days before travel. In the extremely unlikely event that the transhumance is cancelled (this has not happened so far), we will be running the trip nonetheless, to look at the natural cheesemaking techniques of the area and visiting the herd in situ in the valley.

Food Producer / Land Worker Programme

15% off

If you are a food producer or land worker conducting research and who might use the knowledge gleaned from this trip to influence your practice, you may be eligible for a 15% reduced fee.

18 - 25 Young Maker Programme

20% off

If you are under 25 and are entering the world food production or land work, we reserve one place per year to come and be inspired by the transhumance at a 20% reduced rate. The regular ticket holders are subsidising this programme.

The transhumance is once a year. If you absolutely must attend (we understand) but are unable to reach the regular ticket price at this time, we offer a place for those on lower income subject to negotiations. As in, let’s talk!

Couples Discount

5% off

If you are thinking of joining as a couple, you will receive 5% discount each. This is because we have double rooms at the Villa and this will help spread our capacity for the transhumance trip, so we can have more join us!
